Please, do your child and you a favor: now that they are considered adults even though they are still dependent economically upon you, have your 18 year sign basic estate documents, like a HIPAA, DURABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY, LIVING WILL AND PRE-NEED DESIGNATION OF GUARDIANSHIP. You will save you and your child unnecessary emotional and financial costs should a situation arise.
